Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal and Green Garden

Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal and Green Garden is the name of this beautiful park which I have mentioned above. It is a fascinating garden and a memorial, located in Sector 93 Noida, Uttar Pradesh, 36 km away from Delhi. This vast 82 acre-garden is one of the main attractions of Noida which was commissioned by former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Kumari Mayawati, which is why this park is now commonly known as Noida Mayawati Park.

It was established on 14th October in the year 2011 and more than 2,500 workers have given their blood and sweat to make it stand tall and it is also said that it was built at a cost of 675 crores. Rightly so! Such great architectural style and wide space demand that huge amount of cost.

It is very famous for its imposing architecture and wide green space where you can explore and admire the beautiful structure, (if you love exploring attractions of great architecture) and spend some moments of tranquillity far away from the hustle bustle of city life.

This captivating Garden is not only a fascinating architectural work and exquisite green space but also an attraction of great importance. When you enter the garden, you will see an extensive domed structure celebrating and commemorating Dalits. You will also notice that this alluring garden or park is divided into three departments, that are named as the Column Plaza, Central Park Plaza and Ambedkar Plaza. Did you notice ? How the park is honouring the great Dalit Leader Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Not only this, there are many more details that pay respect to all the figures who have devoted their life for an egalitarian social order.

The Column Plaza has 300 feet elongated pillars and around 24 elephant statues, all eighteen feet tall, represents the symbol of traditional Indian welcome, due to which many people call the park as Mayawati hathi park Noida. The Ambedkar Plaza has statues of 15 Dalit Icons which includes former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kumari Mayawati, founder of Bahujan Samaj Party Kanshi Ram, statues of Bhim Rao Ambedkar and Gautam Buddha.

Rashtriya Dalit Smarak

Other than these plazas, there’s an entrancing small museum inside the Mayawati Park Noida which is spread over 33 acres of land and attracts many visitors. Rashtriya Dalit Smarak which translates into National Dalit Memorial in English portrays the influential history of the Dalit Movement and its key leaders. Here also, you will find statues of some selfless figures who contributed a lot, devoted their life for equal rights, humanity and social justice and fought against discrimination against caste, creed and religion. It features statues of Sant Kabir, Narayana Guru, Chatrapati Sahuji Maharaj, Jyotiba Phule and more.
